Sonny Stitt, All God's Children Got Rhythm (Prestige, mono, NJ Fireworks label). Cover in poor shape and the LP looked marginal too, but in fact it sounds great, the best sounding version of the material with Bud Powell I've heard.

Albert Mangelsdorff "tension" (bellaphon, Germany 2014) deluxe offical reissue in trifold sleeve.  Bought all 4 of these reissues at the time(including the Dauner "dream talk", "yogi jazz" and another Mangelsdorff title); the originals would have set me back a small fortune so I'm perfectly happy with these as substitutes.

Freddie Redd --------The Connection---------(BN) United Artists mono ---thanks to BillF

stunning sounding edition. Not mastered by RVG but expertly done . Other than lamination the sleeve is an exact repro of the original. I've only heard CD versions of this date which always sounded a little rough. This is anything but.

Michael Garrick 'Silhouette' (Gearbox) - recorded by Mr Garrick whilst still a UCL student using personal rig, late 50s, at an old stomping ground, ULU Malet Street.

Sleeve notes most interesting. During my time the music rehearsal room was, I think, this one on the 3rd floor. The Garrick bio mentions 2nd floor though.

Ah, fascinating! That Kühn on CBS is one I've been trying to find for years. It's quite expensive these days, so increasingly unlikely to end up in the ol' shelves.

If it's Reunion In Berlin you are looking for: Bear Family has copies of a Vinyl reissue in stock, if that will do for you:

That's from BE! Jazz, which is actually a grey-label. I'm surprised that Bear Family is selling this.

I've had a chat with someone from BE!Jazz at the Utrecht record fair last month (they were selling there). He was very adamant that their releases are 100 percent legit.

That's just his word of course. But it's a fact that BE!Jazz releases are carried by some reputable retailers over here.

New Orleans Gospel Quartets 1947-1956 (Gospel Heritage)

This series of LPs, gospel groups from different cities, was a great one.

Very good indeed ....
