clifford_thornton Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 Haha I don't even want to hazard a guess at how you pulled that one off. Quote

paul secor Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 Ann Cole: Got My Mojo Working (Krazy Kat) - The woman who recorded "Mojo" before Muddy Waters and "Easy Baby" before Magic Sam. Interesting coincidence - I was listening to a Paul Gayton compilation earlier and one of the tracks has a backing vocal group, the Coleman Brothers on it. While reading the liners for this LP, I found that Ann Cole's (born Cynthia Coleman) uncles were the leaders of the Coleman Brothers, who were mainly known as a gospel group. I learn something new every day - at the very least, I try to. Quote

Homefromtheforest Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 Slight wear to the opening of top where record comes out(record doesn't come out the side) but otherwise the cover is quite clean. Â Vinyl looks and sounds mint! Â Probably hardly played if at all. Happy to get an original of the Schoof on CBS finally too after having the reissue for nearly 20 years. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 Damn, looks like you made out with an error on the listing! Got the Schoof CBS from a buddy when I was living in Chicago. It's great. Quote

These "near mint" lps now reside in Japan. He came to Chicago from LA where he had just made a deal with Dick Bock for some Mangelsdorff recordings. Quote

That Kühn on CBS is one I've been trying to find for years. It's quite expensive these days, so increasingly unlikely to end up in the ol' shelves. Quote
