Clunky Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 (edited) Miles Davis----The New Miles Davis Quintet------(Top Rank Japan) deep groove , 1960s ? Japanese release of Prestige material . I'm not clear then this was released but the DG on both sides , laminated thin card sleeve with flip backs makes it look much older than any other Japanese issue I have . Edited April 21, 2016 by Clunky Found reference on eBay suggesting 1965 release date Quote
clifford_thornton Posted April 21, 2016 Report Posted April 21, 2016 Yes, my understanding is that the Top Rank pressings are from the mid- to late-1960s. Quote

Clunky Posted April 22, 2016 Report Posted April 22, 2016 (edited) Stanko/ Makowicz Unit -------Klub Peytowy Polskiego....XIII. (Warsaw 1975)-----(Bialy Kruk Czarnego Krazka/Pronit) It's one of those "White crow black disc" Polish releases with a generic cover. Adam Makowicz plays piano and some nice Fender Rhodes either solo, or trio/quartet with Stanko. It's hard to know exactly what the title is of this record !! Edited April 22, 2016 by Clunky Quote

It affected one side only and caused a wowing like distortion to the sound . My second copy was perfect. Quote

By the way the turntable is made in Scotland! Quote
