jeffcrom
Marion Brown - Afternoon of a Georgia Faun (ECM). Is there any else here who thinks that this album has not held up well? To me, only some moments work.

I just can't believe all the great music I've missed over the years. can't grab everything, sadly. I'm not sure what qualifies as crazy expensive - most of the Togashi LPs I've pulled were less than $40, but even $40 is far from peanuts for an LP in the grand scheme of things. That Waldron solo on Philips is excellent (as are most if not all Waldron LPs).

It has found its lovers. It might be interesting to hear it now and see if I have a different reaction.

Cost me £1.99 back in about 1979 - post oil crisis dump of cheap deletion stock in UK from NYC ! The Moody session on side 1 is brilliant of course but I'd forgotten just how fine the George Wallington ensemble is on side 2. Common link on both sides - Dave Burns.
