Homefromtheforest Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 Takehiro Honda & Gerd Dudek Quartet - Flying to the Sky - (Trio, JP) What's this one like? I'm working my way through Don Cherry's "Blue Lake"..an original on Japanese BYG...not sure why I waited so many years before picking this up finally as I'm also a big fan of Dyani and Temiz. Quote
clifford_thornton Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 Flying to the Sky is decent Euro-style modal quartet fuzz. Nothing earth-shattering, Dudek is actually a little thinly-recorded, but it's an enjoyable set. Blue Lake is good - I'd pulled it the other day to see if it was a "keep" or "unload" but it's gonna stay. Now: Luc Ferrari - Interrupteur/Tautologos 3 - (EMI Electrola, GER) I got a "new" used Creek amp last weekend and have been testing it out with a variety of LPs. Sounds way better than my steadily frying Arcam. Quote
Homefromtheforest Posted July 8, 2013 Report Posted July 8, 2013 I remember a few years back when I got my Bellari tube phono preamp...it was a revelation and every record I played from my collection sounded so much better.. Quote
