Investigating... MG Hm, I have all of disc 1 (one on a DG mono) but none of disc 2. Time to toy with my scruples. Quote
The Magnificent Goldberg Posted April 30, 2013 Report Posted April 30, 2013 Rev W L Jones - It might have been good not to touch - Randy's Spiritual Record Co Rev Jones comes on like Little Richard at his wildest. If Mr Penniman had been as good a preacher as Rev Jones, he wouldn't have gone back to music after he retired from it Rev Jones is from LakeProvidence, LA, but was preaching in Buffalo then somewhere not mentioned. Here's the photo from the back. MG Quote

Clunky Posted May 3, 2013 Report Posted May 3, 2013 George Handy-" By George (Handy of course)"- X / VIK (RCA)- mid fifties date by this gifted arranger. Some nice solos hidden amongst a fairly third stream like music. Dave Schildkraut has some excellent spots with his very fluid sound. Certainly a very interesting date and unlike much else of that time. Quote
