Terry Smith 'Fall Out' (Philips stereo). With the Harry South Big Band, produced by Scott Walker.

Ray Warleigh 'Ray Warleigh's First Album' (Philips stereo). Again produced by Scott Walker.

Sidewinder, is that the same Terry Smith the guitarist who was a member of If?

Ray Warleigh was on the Soft Machine Land of Cockayne album I listened to tonight.

Kenyon Hopkins - Sound Tour: France (Verve Stereo)

Never saw or heard that one! Any jazz interest?

Another big fan of Kenyon Hopkins here!

VERY hard to find. This was part of a six LP series - each focused on a different locale - co-produced by Verve Records and Esquire Magazine. Aimed at the "armchair traveller." Kenyon Hopkins wrote and arranged all six.

Definitely jazzy, but it wouldn't meet a purist's strict definition of jazz. He blends jazz styles with instruments and styles of the culture - or at least what are perceived as such - and sound effects. I would call it more inventive pop arranging with decidedly jazzy elements. Here are details from dougpayne.com

SOUND TOUR: FRANCE

New York City: June 19 and 20, 1961

Are those produced by THEE Scott Walker?

Yes, 'the' Scott Walker. Smith and Warleigh were members of his late-60s touring band so this was a favour returned.
