That's a great record. I didn't know they'd changed the name. Why do they do that? As if his discography wasn't already complicated enough.

I agree it’s pretty confusing. I always have to check out Discogs when buying a new Steve Lacy record.

I recall this being pretty good although my copy was well used/worn !

Arthur Jones----Scorpio----(America)

Interesting set. Curiously Discogs dates this issue to 1971 the same year as the BYG release. Seems odd given that they are both French labels. The liners to the America issue are just in English - perhaps this edition was for export ? Sound/pressing  is better than typically found from BYG issues.

My understanding is that after Delcloo had a falling out with the BYG people, he took the tapes of that record and Coursil's "Black Suite" to Pierre Berjot, who issued them on America.

I've never heard of this record before. Quite the band - Corea with Grossman, Dave Holland & Jack DeJohnette. It looks like it has never been put out on CD & some editions are going for big bucks: https://www.discogs.com/master/734497-Chick-Corea-The-Sun

very good record. Have the 1970 black vinyl pressing.

The missing tracks were damaged on the master tape.
