I don't know anything about the players ( its a quintet with piano, guitar , sax and rhythm section) Expand 👍 - I don't have this issue. I met Janusz Muniak (June 3, 1941 in Kraków; † January 31, 2016 in Kraków) at the Jazz Od Nowa Festival in Toruń, Poland—the twin town of Göttingen—in February 2005, and visited him at his club 'u Muniaka' in Cracow in July 2008. A remarkable scene occurred there. Tourists were being very loud at their table. Janusz Muniak stopped playing, walked over to the table, and asked the guests to be quiet. Then he continued playing. Dave Burrell----la vie de boheme----(Actuel) Black label original release. Amazingly quiet pressing with no stuck groove on either side. Very different from your average BYG session Quote
Pim Posted April 6 Report Posted April 6 This might be the best sounding recording I have. It’s the Tone Poet version. The clarity, detail, seperation: it’s amazing. Plus this is one hell of a record. My number one Chick for sure Quote

I have rather of lot of Solal on LP and CD. His 50s Vogue recordings would be good place to start. Evan Parker----- Tracks-----(Incus 42) Signed copy ( I think by EP !) Very fine session , sound is great even if the recording was digital Quote
