HutchFan Posted October 19 Report Posted October 19 Norman Connors - Love from the Sun (Buddah, 1974) with Eddie Henderson, Gary Bartz, Herbie, Onaje, Buster Williams, Dee Dee Bridgewater, a.o. Gorgeous music. . . . Also -- given the participants (Herbie, Buster, Eddie H) -- it's not surprising that the music (at times) sounds quite a bit like Herbie's Mwandishi band. Quote

Pim Posted October 20 Report Posted October 20 Wow the bonus session Love Always is amazing. Unfortunately only one 15 minute track on a single sided LP but I like it a lot. The composition Love Always is credited to Jef Gilson here but I am very sure I know this composition from another record probably by another artist. I hate it when I just can’t think which one. Maybe you guys could help me out? Quote
Pim Posted October 20 Report Posted October 20 last but not least… yeah this is the most essential from the whole bunch. It’s funky, bluesy, soulful very very nice. Quote
