Schlomovitz/Polin - Contemporary Music for Harp and Flute [Ars Nova, USA]

Initial listen to this new arrival.  With thanks to @Teasing the Koreanfor making me aware of it with a post a few weeks ago. And with thanks to @HutchFanfor his assistance in getting it to the UK. This is going to get a lot of plays.

Glad you found a copy!

Do you know when it was recorded by any chance?   I can't see any date reference on the labels or the sleeve.

Now onto,

My copy is undated, and I can't find a date on Discogs either.  The fact that it is mono may provide a clue.  Also, I have not looked into other releases on this label.  That may help also.

I never got to hear him either. I'm surprised to read Gheorghe's glowing reviews of his live performances as I was told by someone who saw him later in life and they said that every time they saw him, he seemed drunk and was not playing very well.

I saw him playing ‘later in life’ and he was perfectly sober and professional. And playing very well.

Thanks, yes, I'll check on the label, good idea that. I'm just intrigued.

I like especially Side B those it is not well recorded, but it´s some exiting Bird with his original quintet.

On Side A I would have preferred to hear only full tracks. I know it was only a rehearsal but it´s hard to listen to it that way.

Leonard Feather presents The Sound of Feeling, with Oliver Nelson (Verve, mono promo)

Side 1 is The Sound of Feeling.

Side 2 is Oliver Nelson.

It's kind of like a Crown LP in that regard.

Love the cover design

I'm tuned in

Just read this that really piqued my interest

Only UK seller on Discogs wants £80!!!

The twins were in a Star Trek episode!

When they perfect time travel, just visit Florida in the 1990s, and you can find both albums for a dollar each!
