How is this one?

Re Bill Smith / Jim Hall

I like it very much.

Bill Smith (William O Smith)  was IMO member of the Brubeck Octet on Fantasy.

He plays clarinet on this album.

Jim Hall is always good. Monty Budwig on bass & Shelly Manne on drums

rec. 1959 at Contemporarys. Engineer: Roy DuNann! Cant be better  in sound quality

:tup Yes to all of those, except Outside, which I don't know.

That seems to have become The Lost Shelley Manner album. It's really good, too.

Bud Powell, Complete Blue Note Recordings, sides 1-3 (Mosaic)Image result for Bud Powell complete blue note mosaic

I have them as individual LP´s from long ago. The Fats Navarro-Sonny Rollins thing is the greatest . I think I remember on Vol III I only liked the stuff with Curtis Fuller, side A is quite weird and unorganized,

From the trio recordings if I remember right I liked most the "Time Waits" with Philly Joe Jones !!!!!, and the compositions on it.....

Etta Jones - Save Your Love for Me (Muse, 1981)
with Houston Person (ts); George Devens (vib); Cedar Walton (p); George Duvivier (b); and Frankie Jones (d)

Outstanding.

Produced by Crud Taylor, how about that?

:tup I love those Hodges 60s Verves. I used to bug Mosaic about doing a box, but the Andorrans stepped in and reissued them (sort of), so that screwed the pooch.

I picked up "Mess Of Blues" a few years back and I didn't like it much at all, mainly due to the poor audio. I'm also not much of a fan of Wild Bill's style of organ playing.
