HutchFan Posted March 28, 2022 Report Posted March 28, 2022 (edited) Sebesky's "more is more" approach to arranging often doesn't appeal to me, but -- on this album -- the arrangements don't feel overblown. They're still big and cinematic and very much of the time. But they work, IMO. As for Jackie's voice, she's still got me in her grip, regardless of the setting. EDIT (after listening a bit more): Well... maybe the arrangements are a little bit overblown. But I still dig the music. Edited March 28, 2022 by HutchFan Quote

Absolutely. I love that I can be blissfully unaware of something that's as good as the Connors and then be enlightened by your and other's enthusiasm. All on a dull London Tuesday afternoon too! The variety of knowledge here is such an inspiration to learn, and spend, more. But my bank manager would like a word with you Edited March 29, 2022 by mjazzg Quote

jcam_44 Posted March 30, 2022 Report Posted March 30, 2022 Commitment - s/t picked this up yesterday for $8. Jacket has some water damage in one corner but the disc is immaculate. I have the nonbusiness version but couldn't pass this up for the price. Quote
