The recent CD is worth getting - sounds absolutely excellent and I’ll be amazed if the old vinyl version is any better.

I don't think it's legit, if you are referring to the 2012 CD. Much of their stuff is 'unofficial.'

Could be - sounds too good to have been taken from the vinyl. That earlier series was put out by the late Richard Cook if I remember correctly. They are worth grabbing. I have the ‘Dragon Hill’ from the Cook CD issues and it sounds fine.

Ed Bogas came up the other day when we were talking about his arrangements on Gene Ammons' Got My Own.  Bogas arranged the horns on this Cal Tjader date -- and produced the album too.  I do like his work.
