colinmce
I haven't heard Lorrach in particular, but I love the 1966 European Tour material on Holy Ghost. I think the band has a great sound with Michael Sampson on board. Hopefully the touted reissue/expansion of this record will be out in the next couple batches of hatOLOGY discs. BillF
Mose Allison 'Back Country Suite' (Prestige, NY adress) My first encounter with Mose Allison... ...it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship I have an Esquire of that one. Nice session ! It was also the first Mose Allison I heard, but I never owned it until this year when I bought it on a CD that combines Back Country Suite and Local Color. Yeah, that is the pressing that I have, too. Happy enough with it that I never went for broke on the Danish Debut. What a record.

king ubu
Katanga! Curtis Amy & Dupree Bolton Spinning my Japanese LP again, after many years (had the West Coast Classics CD, passed it one when I got the Select...) Rarely play the vinyl, but as my turtable is spinning already - it's a bitchy one! - I though I'd pop this one one, and needless to say not only the music, but sound quality, too, is great! brownie
Gene Krupa 'The Exciting Gene Krupa' (Clef) The cover is not in very good shape but the deepgroove vinyl is fine. And the music is really exciting! Players include Charlie Shavers, Bill Harris, Willie Smith, Ben Webster, Teddy Wilson among others!
