Total edition limited to 400 copies. ReR Megacorp 79 Beulah Rd. Thornton Heath Surrey CR7 8JG UK 44 (0) 208 771 1063 www.rermegacorp.com Just received this box set last night from Michael of Transparency. Cost me 55 dollars including Priority Mail postage. Interesting packaging: a plastic box with a painting of RA as a front cover, a description of the set as a back cover, and inside 28 cdrs in plastic envelopes set up as a binder. 55 plus hours of music. Two 11 x 17 sheets of paper printed front and back show the contents of each disc and the personnel information. I've listened to the first two discs. Sound is not great, but not bad. . . . It probably will actually get better sounding as we go along as this is the complete shows of a week's residency at the Detroit club. Interesting music! I've usually not explored this time period of Ra too heavily. . . now I can at a great price.
John B
I don't recall seeing this posted yet, but Atavistic is reissuing Some Blues But Not The Kind That's Blue and lists it as available in January. It is already available for order, so I'm assuming they'll ship early, as they did for Purple Moon. Sound is okay. Interesting stuff. I love this period of Sun Ra. I got the set as well -- apparently disc 19 is flawed, so I am getting a replacement. Stefan Wood
The sound isn't perfect, but clear enough. Everyone is playing in top form, at least on the first three discs.

jazzbo
I've bought all the Transparency releases in the "Lost Reels" series (and a few more), and the only one that I could have done without was the one disc with the Sun Ra "lesson" at the blackboard. . . weirds me out. clifford_thornton
Some Blues But Not The Kind Thats Blue is excellent! Kudos to Atavistic and John Corbett for reissuing this one. I believe it's one of Ra's absolute rarest titles. I sure have never seen the vinyl offered...
