Guest akanalog Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 i have heard 0 talk about this. http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/americas/05/...s.ap/index.html it is weird this was on the CNN front page for only a few hours then moved off-it's still there but now you have to look for it. also it happened over a month ago, the incident, and is only being reported now. but the army saying they say UFOs seems at least a little legit....it isn't just some crazy nut somewhere. but does anyone have any feelings on this? AfricaBrass Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Thanks for bringing this up. Here's a link to some more info about this event (there is even some video). http://www.rense.com/ Just scroll down the page until you reach the section on the UFOs over Mexico. Personally, I've believed in the possibility of this stuff since I was a kid. My (late) Grandpa was a military pilot and he told me some real strange stories. Quote
sal Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 (edited) I've believed in this stuff nearly all my life as well. To think that forms of extraterrestrial life travel to earth is one thing, but to deny the existance of these forms of life all together has always seemed a bit naive to me. Its a big galaxy out there. Edited May 14, 2004 by sal Quote
A Lark Ascending Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Would that be the Free Mexican Airforce? Might explain it all!!! Quote
Dan Gould Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 thanks for the link, AB, but where the heck did you find that site? Take a look at the other links he has - the Nick Berg video is a fake; it was a "Mossad" operation or a Bush Cheney "psy-ops" ... Quote
Dan Gould Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 And the links that takes you to!!! Like did you know that Kennedy was killed to cover up UFOs??? http://www.conspiracyplanet.com/channel.cf...&contentid=1033 And don't tell Johnny or Caroline, but Did EMP Device Crash Wellstone and JFK Jr Planes? Quote
Christiern Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 A small item (1 column, 4") on page 9 of yesterday's NY Post, the heading read: UFOs spotted over Mexico on the same page (2 columns, top to bottom) was an article announcing that the subway's MetroCard machines will now have information in Yiddish. Quote
Chrome Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 I saw that when it was on CNN, too ... there's got to be other forms of life out there, and just in case there are, you might want to check this out:Don't get probed! Quote
Adam Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 I think the stories on the rense page about the beheading are even more curious. Quote
Jazzmoose Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Don't listen to Dan, he's so cynical he believes Elvis is really dead and that Mia Farrow didn't have Gereralissimo Franco's love child. Quote
Christiern Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Let's not talk about what Dan believes. Quote
catesta Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 (edited) I've got to plead ingnorance, I didn't realize our neighbors to the south even had air force. Edited May 14, 2004 by catesta Quote
Christiern Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 If you like this plane, you should see the other one! Quote
catesta Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 If you like this plane, you should see the other one! No kidding. Quote
brownie Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Last UFO I spotted several years ago went by the name of Sun Ra! Quote
chris olivarez Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Where's Scully and Mulder now that we need them? Seriously though, while I don't about the reliability of this story it is a big old funky universe and I for one believe we are not alone in it. Quote
J Larsen Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 I find it extraordinarily unlikely that there is (or, at least, has been) no other intelligent life in the universe. I would bet everything I have against long odds that beings of superior intelligence have existed elsewhere. There around a hundred billion trillion stars in the observable universe. It's really hard to believe we're it. Plus, when you look at all the amino acids we find in meteriotes (carbonaceous chondrites, in particular), arguing against ET life almost starts to feel downright silly. I also find it extraordinarily unlikely that instellar travel, or anything even approaching interstellar travel, is even remotely possible. It's not that I think no being is smart enough to achieve it, I simly contend that well-established laws of physics preclude it. So I absolutely do NOT believe that any UFO sightings are ET related. Quote
chris olivarez Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Knowledge like the universe is vast and there is a lot we don't know.Even with physics as it is known (and I admit I don't know doodley about it) I cant help but believe that interstellar travel is indeed possible. Just because we haven't mastered it doesn't mean it hasn't been mastered. Quote
Claude Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 (edited) I also think it is very likely that there is other intelligent life in the universe. But how comes we always assume those other cultures living lightyears away are technologically so much more advanced than us that they can travel to our planet just to have a look and confuse us and not make contact? Or could it be that the Earth is just a big science experiment undertaken by a superior exterrestial race and that we are supposed to believe we are the centre of the world? connoisseur series500 Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Believing in UFOs would be a big stretch for me. I'm sure there's intelligent life out there somewhere, but I'm with JLar regarding the difficulty of interstellar travel. Also, if we are visited so often, why don't they actually land their craft and try to make contact? The scenario of an earth sightseeing interstellar trip is really far fetched. If we are ever visited, I hope they can pick up some of the radio signals from some of our poster's radio shows: "Hmm, what are these delightful sounds they call jazz?" B) Quote
connoisseur series500 Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 BTW, I've always suspected Couw was from another planet. Quote
