mikeweil Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 I have the "LPR" of Yusef Lateef's "The Golden Flute" and it's a digipak. Now I don't mind, but what the f...? Are there any others belying the series' name? Quote
Claude Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 I thought the recent US pressings were all digipacks. I ordered the Paul Horn from cduniverse and it's a digipack. I prefer the mini-LPs a lot. I haven't yet seen the latest european batch. Quote

Bluerein Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 Some are still in the mini LP style but they are in the minority now (in Europe). In the US only the first (or first 2) batches were in mini LP the rest in Digipack. I know the Clark Terry is in mini LP. I can check in the store I work for which are if you really want to know. Brad Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 In the US that is also true. My recollection is that starting with the Sonny Stitt group, they were all digipacks. I think they found them to be expensive in mini lp format and digipack apparently is cheaper although not as nice. Quote
mikeweil Posted May 9, 2004 Author Report Posted May 9, 2004 Just curious - no need to run into stores to check it out! The Lateef was the first that I saw as digipak, all others in that batch and all others before were mini-LP sleeves. Thanks for the input! Quote
