I hate to interrupt interesting discussions, but there are some questions I want an answer to: Yesterday I was a "member", today I am a "newbie", Why? What exactly does the word "newbie" mean? What does these blue squares in your profile to the left in the forum mean? Most have only one blue square, some have two. Why?

I think the blue boxes indicate the same thing as "newbie", "member", "senior member", "grand poobah of the universe", etc. but I don't know what the levels are set at. Most places I've seen flip from "newbie" to "member" at either ten or thirty posts; the change to senior member at 100. Or do we even have "senior member" here?

Jazzmoose is right.

The blue boxes correspond to the number of posts you have. A newbie is internet slang for a person new to the board. They have 0 to 9 posts. At 10 posts, you become a "member". At 100 you become a "Groover" like me! :) I made up the names. There are different names for different levels and the higher your level, the more blue boxes. It goes up to 10,000.
