  1. Sonny Stitt, Oliver Nelson and The Columbia small group sessions are on their way. Good to see the Mosaic staff busy.
  2. I really love that game and I am fortunate to live in the south west of England where there are a lot of good teams with Bristol, Bath and Gloucester. Other sports, and especially football, have a lot to learn from this sport.
  3. We agree on a lot of things on this board, Bob, but tonight we were not on the same side.... It is very painful to be French tonight and this defeat is hard to take. Well done to England. It was an awful game but Wilkinson managed to win it for his country. England justabout deserved to win it. Best of luck for the final.
  4. I am fed up waiting for the price of the European version of the Nelson set to go down. I am definitely getting it this time. Advice? My best recent purchases from Mosaic ( among those that are still available) have been the Joe Pass, Django, Gordon Select, Andrew Hill Select, Parlan and the whole Miles collection.
  5. This is a great sale. The Nelson, Columbia small group sessions and the Stitt boxes should be joining the collection soon! What is going on with Mosaic? I can't help being a bit worried with all these sales. There has been quite a lot of sales this year..... I hope everything is alright over there!
  6. I'd like to see the Sam Rivers 'Trio live' to be reissued
  7. I have most of the Donaldson music on King reissues and I am very likely to give that one a miss but the Stitt has been on my waiting list for too long.
  8. Mosaic Commodore volume 1. The Teddy Wilson record is a real gem. I like this collection more and more.
  9. Great news but I have already got all of them on vinyl. I love that Sonny Rollins session. The Oliver Nelson was one of the first jazz recordings I bought.
  10. OK Bob, you got the better of me! The Django Reinhardt will be on its way to Bristle!!! Nearly went for the Sonny Stitt but this one will have to wait a wee bit.
  11. I am sick of these custom taxes.... I need to buy myself a flat in NY!
  12. If my order is below $100, am I guaranteed to escape custom tax?
  13. Thank you!
  14. Could somebody post an updated list of all the titles? Can't find it anywhere. Have some titles gone OOP?
  15. I am not too fussed about the price of shipping. It is often custom taxes that refrain my Mosaic ordering compulsory habits, If only these b......y customs could give me a break!
  16. if you email Mosaic, I am sure they will tell you the answer to your question.
  17. The jazz selection in the Bristol branch is pretty dire and the CDs are very expensive. I only go to Borders to read my French paper for free sipping a nice cup of coffee at Starbucks. Apart from a Miles Davis DVD, I have never bought any music there.
  18. I created a similar topic last year for my cats. They are called Dizzy and Bebop and they love their jazz....
  19. Check out the super-duper Jazz CD shop in Bath. Around £6 a shot ! Do you mean the Music matters shop in a tiny alley? I haven't been there for ages but £6 is a good deal.
  20. Kenny Burrell 'K.B. Blues' (BN King)
  21. Now that Fopp has disappeared, where do British board members get their RVGs from? Where is the best deal?
  22. I have these four records with similar labels. They are original pressings.
  23. Where can I find the list of all the Connoisseurs? I am sure this was posted in another thread but I can't find it...
  24. You haven't even checked that you haven't got two discs 4?! And yes, I agree about the Garner and Jamal CD is very very good!
  25. I have just ordered three Selects: Art Pepper, David Liebman and Johnny Richards. A bit of a mixed bag with very different styles.I hope I won't be disappointed with the Liebman set. I listened to the audio clips and I liked what I heard.
