Try and pick up "I Swing for you" on Mercury vinyl as well. One of my favorites!! Lennie and Curtis Counce are two of my most underrated faves. I find the Howard Rumsey stuff a little more hit & miss myself. Big Len Fan (pre Hollywood of course : )

Hey, this post was not just about haggleing its about a rant of how crazy prices are getting in general ! I find I am getting priced out of my love of jazz and music and that is depressing! Haggleing was just one part of that. I am not a rich man, and I think this hobby is quickly becoming a hobby of well off folks, nothing against them. Anyway, I have some Alice Coltrane on now, and that had calmed be down, hell I may even go to church sunday : ) Thanks for the other posts, i hope I am not alone. cb

I have been very lucky to find these forums some months ago and found some great people on them. We have gotten some great buys from members on Lp and other items. I must say though, outside these forums, Ebay, the internet, shops, etc. The amount of greed this hobby has aquired is making me sick! and thinking of just cudddleing up with my 500 Lp's, few DVD's, books, and system of what I have now and just forgetting about aquiring anymore. I think the love is being ruined by collectors and dealers driving prices up beyond what the common working man can realistically afford anymore. Seems like the fine art of haggleing (that I like to think my father tought me well) is percieved as sin these days by most, I mean how dare I ask for it cheaper!!! Maybe it's just me, but I had to share my thoughts with other jazz/music lovers. Rant off cb

Yah seen those. The Claxton is 3-5 weeks to ship. that just doesnt sound right. I like to use small stores first if i can.

yah, same thing happened to me, and Amazon doesnt seem to care. took 3 weeks for refund after a complaint to amazon about Caiman bad news all the way!!! PS They also have oen of the worst feebacks of active Amazon Marketplace vendors I have seen. Always trust feedback I guess!!

Anyone know why this is not available on DVD ? A nice movie, but I was depressed to have to pay $20 for the cheap plastic VHS, my second copy. Im wondering if I should have a friend convert it to DVD along with my Sound of Jazz vhs , so i have them to my end : ) cb

Pat Metheny- www.allmusic.com Seen them 10+ times in different variations all over the world. Ive seen newbies leave in the first 10 minutes : ) and other become life long fans. I was in awe many years ago at my very first show when they entered the arena playing marching band instruments and marched on stage. 10 Grammy's for 11 PMG albums is a remarkable feat! Pat is one of most approachable musicians I have ever met and has a nice meet and greet after each show if they have time. I always like to think that some of my suggestions led to directions he took lol Im a bassist, but his new drummer Antonio Sanchez has made me a fan of jazz drummers again. He might be the best in the world right now IMHO.

So they would be say the size of a record sleeve, but 1" thick ? Would you just lay them in on the sides or the middle of the cube, would they be fastened in any way ?

Spinlps: Is the Bonde considerbly more stable than the expedit or just more flexible?. Your system looks in the $500 + range. While the Expedit is about $150 Can. JSngry Just curious if you could post some photo's of your 1x12 reinforcements so I can get a btter idea how to do this. Best, Cb
