Is it just me, or does it seem as if Hamilton is going down the road toward a major relapse? I pray he doesn't but he just seems out of it in a very bad way. People laughed at the caffeine thing, but to me, that was a major red flag in terms of his recovery.

I was involved in a church that had a number of Cuban exiles, and I was floored by the incredible love they had for More, they could not speak of seeing him in Cuba, dancing to his big band in the 1950s, without tears in their eyes. I don't think the USA realizes what a huge figure Beny More is in the Latin world.

It made the division races meaningful. I think you get that with the previous system of allowing only one WC team. I agree, I felt it all meant less this year because the teams were all in, no one was risking being eliminated. Last year was good because someone was going home with a loss. I hate this new system

One of the things that is driving me nuts is the AP story that is being used on a lot of sites. It calls Bobby Valentine a "Baseball Savant." Come on AP, what the heck!!! The definition of a savant is: Savantism is a rare condition in which people with neurodevelopmental disorders, notably autism spectrum disorders, and/or brain injuries, demonstrate profound and prodigious capacities and/or abilities far in excess of what would be considered normal. In what way, shape or form, is Valentine a "baseball savant?" Just terrible writing in my book. Here's the quote:
