Bill Evans: Turn Out The Stars.

Ever since I bought the Analogue Productions SACD of Bill Evans: Waltz For Debby, I have continued to be entranced by the music. I listen to it at least once a week now. The opening notes of My Foolish Heart immediately take to another place. Sometimes I concentrate on LaFaro, at times Motian, and always, above everything, Bill Evans. I love this SACD for some reason.

So I e-mail this guy and ask him why is this going for $75-$100 when I can get it brand new on Amazon for $32. This is the reply: "The Cd is in its original mint condition state. This quality is for collectors who never open the CD for use. It is not a remaster. Thank You for your interest! michaelg1053 at Bargainland-on-e-bay" Whatever.

I still haven't heard a thing yet on the Coltrane box -- ordered 7/21.

Sonny Rollins: The Bridge. I'm slowly starting to build up a Rollins' collection, which is strange, he is someone I really don't go out of my way to collect -- if you know what I mean..

From the same guy selling the Coltrane cds. How is this worth $100.00???? Is something else going on here, or is he trolling for crazy people who don't know any better??

Well, there might be hope yet, I placed my Coltrane order on 7/21 (have yet to hear anything on that order). Maybe I need to get into "bitchy mode" and give a call.

That's when I got mine Has anybody noticed this new 6 CD Coltrane box Concord has scheduled for release on September 26? Fearless Leader That's my Plan B if I don't get my Coltrane box. Buy Fearless Leader, then buy JPN remasters of the rest of Coltrane's OJC appearances. A lot more expensive, and much longer to do, but what-the-heck, we all need goals in life.

Despite the pain-in-the-rear waiting for orders to be filled, (and I'm still waiting wordon my Coltrane box) this was a great sale, and I bought a ton of music I never dreamed of having. I especially would love another run at the K-2 20bit cds, they surprised me with their wonderful, warm sound. Almost equal to SACD to my ears.

I'm just going to pretend I never read this thread and assume that Coltrane is going arrive on my doorstep soon...

The Ebay price is going to be high on this one....
