Ouch! That pretty much kills the Spurs chances this year. The Spurs really looked slow against the Cav's Sunday, just out classed, couldn't stay with them if their lives depended on it. Win the first round of the play-offs, out the second round.

Hey, nice game by the Mariners tonight, Felix Hernandez was lights out. Mariners have the best record in baseball now...

How pathetic! I'm actually looking forward to watching a Mariner game. *Sigh* Wish I was back in Washington and not stuck here in Los Angeles.

Season officially opens tonight. For some reason, I looking forward to the season, seems to be a lot of interesting stories and teams. So, as the man said: Play Ball!

Thankfully, a Big East team bites the dust, do I ever hate that conference! UConn just got out played today. Second game is a matter of who I hate more, Big East vs. UNC -- I think I hate UNC way more than Villanova.

I'd be interested in this also. Some of the boots I've heard of QMS have been pretty scruffy, to say the least. If these are good quality, I'm in.

In other Rangers news: Andruw Jones makes the final spot on the Rangers. What a free-fall this guy has had.

If I may add a name that has not been mentioned yet: Lefty Frizzell. I'm not really a true C&W fan (in fact, I'm not much a fan), but how can anyone not recognize the tremendous talent of Frizzell; about as pure of a singer as you'll ever find. Great success in his early career, seemingly lost afterwards, but at the end of his life, what great music he was making. It's a strange comparison, but he reminds me of Lester Young in his approach to singing, and also in the fact that as some dismiss Young's later work, so too with Frizzell, but both were major artists at the close of the lives. If you ever get extra money to burn, think about the Frizzell Bear box, it tells the whole story of the wonderful man's artist life.

After seeing the Bombers twice this week, reports of their demise (including my own) seem incredibly premature. I can't help but cite the return of The Captain as one of the key reasons for the turn in their performance. By the way, speaking of young guys throwing heat, I haven't heard mention of Sidd Finch! I was listening to the Baseball Today Pod Cast this morning, (great pod casts btw) and Eric Karabell and Peter Pascarelli are calling in 1. Tampa Bay 2. Boston 3. Yankees with 89 wins. Of course Pascarelli "doesn't like anyone."

Wow! Open season this spring on Derek Jeter. WTH???

Villanova - Duke and Gonzaga - N.C will be the ones to watch. Im thinking Duke goes down tonight. It was great to watch Duke go down in flames last night -- God, do I ever hate Duke! Let us know how the "Pure Jerry" is. I didn't order it because Jerry's voice was done by then, coma year etc.. but the sample of Bird Song sounded great. I was just spinning Love Light from the Filmore box set yesterday and was loving the energy on it after having to skip that dud of a song Cosmic Charlie. I should break down and order DP31 since I love 74 so much. You won't be disappointed in DP31, the Jersey Eyes of the World is the best, even better than the one in the Some Many Roads box.
