    Great collection. I have that and a couple of full Del-Fi surf albums. Can't confirm, but I've heard that it's Tommy Tedesco on guitar.

    There was an article in the WSJ about the song itself, Monk, and also how many times it's been recorded over the years by so many people.

    Obviously not "mine", but part of an exhibit about music at SFMOMA recently. They had music people curating they're own hand-picked music to play on this system.

    HA! So THAT'S why I never heard it 🤩 The whole album has a great flow to it. Especially the long tunes like 20th Century Dreaming where the second half long jam is very intense ... but in a low key kind of way.

    I think they're just straight remasters with original tracks and original album art (shrunken down), which would be my only complaint about these sets. It's nearly impossible to read the liner notes.

    I should listen to that. I like Sylvian but for some reason haven't heard that album Don't know Rush albums very well, but that's definitely a good one.

    I enjoy that box because it's about Keepnews's personal favorites rather than a "best of" or "greatest hits" or something like that. And it's organized in an unusual way, too.
