I never realized that all those folks were on that album. I think I had it at one point in the early 70's. I remember that there was a "jazz angle" to it, but I probably didn't 'get it' at the time.
As I mentioned in the other thread, I like this series a lot. The lyrics sound a bit dated, but that's OK. There's plenty of good vocals, spearheaded by Andy Bey.
You might also consider his new release, which has received great reviews and also includes a few tunes originally in the Pacific collection.
Take a look at the Carmell Jones Mosaic Select, too. Gerald is all over this one.
They're very good about that. I got a "Last Waltz" (4CDs) set recently that had one damaged disk. I emailed their customer service dept and they shipped another complete set right away. AND I didn't have to return the bad one.
