Hopefully the Mosaic Box wil be available later this year.Don't be fooled by the "Complete" tag put to this material.For instance the Pershing dates have 43 unissued titles many of which Jamal has given his consent to release. The Mosaic Box will have 8 or 9 Cds depending whose telling it.

Ubu, Concord will be releasing that box in the spring so they tell me. Email in mid-January for more details. Certainly the sessions with Red Garland Nov/Dec 1957 will be included.

Enja 9131-2 has 2 groups. Hancock,McBee and Lovelace from early 1965 ( 5) tracks and the Vol 2 group above (3) tracks

Sorry jostber if I created confusion. The Lonesome Road session was recorded 20 Nov 1957 and was never released in the USA .The Japanese released it as TOCJ 1615 but have deleated it from their catalogue. It is the Jimmy Smith Trio recorded in the studio five days after the Small's Paradise Session (Go figure ???) Lonesome Road was recorded again in 1960 with Turrentine and released in 1963.

What sessions are you referring to ? What little is left in the vaults are rejects ? I once owned the discography.

Wrong, I am quite sure the Coltrane/Garland sessions of Nov/Dec 1957 will be part of that box (2 CDs) What else I'm not sure ?

Mosaic Contemporary was to have issued a CD of the 2 LPs "Follow Your Heart" and "Outback" but extra musical considerations derailed this project.

Recently purchased the American Film Theatre DVD Box of 14 films. Discovered that 'Lost in the Stars" listed in external sources as 114 Minutes is only 97 minutes here. "Galileo" listed as 145 minutes is 138 here. Kino the production outlet can't explain the short minutes. Can anyone help ?

Is there a Sweet Rain Release that encompasses all the 3 unissued tracks ?

I don't think EMI/Blue Note retains the rights to any of the material. (?) I don't think Michael C. has any interest in the "Overture" material .

There are a few unissued tracks that still are in the vaults. Only half the "Concert by the Sea" material has ever been released in any form. The "Most Happy Piano" session has never been released on CD.
