  1. 2001- Wayne Shorter performs @ Jardins Palais Longchamps,Marseilles. Four titles recorded and released on "Footprints Live"
  2. You might try your local library for the Michael Ruppli discog."Chess/Argo". While not the best work in the series it does offer many recording dates and personnel. This work was selling for about $100 from Greenwood Press at one time.
  3. 1980-Bill Evans Trio records at Ronnie Scotts on second night of a two week engagement.Recorded illegally by Dreyfus but later blessed by the estate of Evans.
  4. A 2-CD set is slated to be released in the Connoisseur series this October. Does anyone know whether this set will contain any previously unissued tracks? ← On 20 July 1959.Quebec recorded 2 tracks "Cry Me a River" and "Uptight" which were considered rejected takes and not included in the Mosaic set.These tracks were later released on a TOCJ. These tracks would fit into that 2 CD set.

Session complete on 9 July.

  9. 1950-Erroll Garner records first trio session for Columbia.Eight tracks with John Simmons-B."Shadow"Wilson-D. This begins a nine year recording relationship with Columbia .The final session was 11 May 1958.This material was released on the CD "Long Ago and Far Away".

  16. Chris is correct the "They" is only Martha Glaser. Her treasure chest of unreleased goodies is stored in an uptown Manhattan vault . Senility has pulled Martha down and cleared headed thinking is now beyond her capability. A conversation I had with her a year ago confirmed how far gone she is. Classics will finish off the 1953 material. and by 06 they will be into the sessions of 1956. Garner finished with Columbia in 1958. Martha must be in her mid-eighties, so long range planning is not her strong suit. If she wished her estate could issue a big box set of Garner Trio @ The Village Gate from May-June 1965. She does have enough unissued material for many box sets.Jim Doran's "Most Happy Piano"gives you some idea how much unissued she has and there is a lot more that he doesn't know of.Nobody will deal with Martha anymore-What a shame!!!
