  1. 14 Name is The Winner Takes It All. This strumming guitar reminds me of Stanley Jordan (never liked him). The original is from ABBA "Super Trouper" album. Will post more after second (third, fourth?) spin. The CD is worth it! Andrew
  2. Few suggestions how BFT may be improved . 1 Let us reduce time lag between two next Blindfold tests. We have 34 tests to come and on average two-week lag between two tests. It gives us one year and four months to take all the tests. What if every next master will open sign-up thread every week - every Monday, Sunday whatever. Thus participants will be receiving one BFT disc(s) a week. More than enough time to have few listens and scribble few lines 2 Put into every BFT Answers thread poll with tracks listed as vote options. The question is "What track did you like most?" with multiple answers option. So for every disc we'll have kind of Top of the pop which may be a guide for a jazz newbies and lurkers who didn't participate in BFT's but want to acquire the taste in jazz music. 3 Should needle drops (transfers from LP's) be included in BFT compilations? I think they shouldn't. Reason - if I like the tune I will be sorry it isn't available on CD (and if it IS available what for to use needle drop?). I personally am not a vinyl guy and all those cracks and pops from needle moving in LP groove make me to skip the track. I can't concentrate on music!
  3. I received mine on June 15th. Thanks!
  4. I can host your files at my site. Andrew
  5. Anybody wants to send me copy BFT #11 discs? Tried to signed up, sent a pair of emails and PM-ed to RDK but couldn't reach him from behind the Iron Curtain Andrew
  6. Here' another praise for Daniel. Lot of good music but I am eager to learn names for two tracks - 3rd and 8th. Andrew
  7. Received the disc on June 2nd which means it took eight days for the parcel to come to Novosibirsk, Russia. Gave it few spins already. Thank you Daniel. Andrew
  8. I found this site just recently (someone mentioned it at Hoffman's forum at:Steve Hoffman? Steve ) so I have only BFT ## 8,10 and 12 (unfortunately #9 and #10 didn't find their way to me) and I am enjoying them very much. I wish I was aware of Organissimo forums earlier! Anybody wants to provide me with previous issues?
  9. Thank you for another wonderful opportunity to extend my musical horizon. I am not going to guess who's playing what because I am rather new to world of jazz. I will inform about my likes and dislikes at this compilation instead. Tracks 2, 5 and 9 are my favorite I will certainly will try to look for more stuff from those artists. 4,6,7,14 and 15 - just not my cup of tea. and I skipped every time track 10 when I give BFT #10 CD a spin - literally can't stand it (sorry rockefeller center)! It would be fun to read others' comments on the disc now!
