BFT CD received in Novosibirsk, Russia, everything is fine, NP loud in my living room
-
nice compilation! track 3 - Russian song "Nights near Moscow" - in Russian is sounds like "Podmoskovniye vechara". Main theme is played by bass (off key a litttle) everything else- no clue, sounds rather comfortable for my ears

Novosibirsk, Russia. Disc received, everything is fine. Correction "...was fine" till I played the CD to track 13th, the track and the remaining ones wouldn't play because there is crack in the CD, close to the outer edge. This is the second time when I get cracked CD, seems one bubble-mailer isn't safe enough for long-distance shipping. Maybe a piece of hard cardboard (or two)would help? Anybody can place tracks 13,14,15,16 as wav files somewhere online? If you don't know the place try RapidShare.de,Box.net or Webfile.ru (all three are free) Andrew

BFT 33 1/3 Discussion (Disc one and only)
dutchmanx replied to randyhersom's topic in Blindfold Test
Great job! At last I got BFT with music I like the most - well-recorded modern material with lot of piano! Love all tracks but identified the second only which is Oregon's. Also I want to thank the compiler for NOT including any annoying vaults recordings or needle-drops! Andrew -
BFT#25, disc #2 answers will be posted in a couple days

Huh? A couple of days -
OK you talked me into it Here is the link to zipped Excel file with all BFT(now 30 and half without 25th) tracklistings: http://www.av-forum.com/media/bfts.zip It will be updated when next BFT answers are posted. Here is the text file: http://www.av-forum.com/media/bfts.txt Andrew

I already have his list but it makes no use for me because although I may know all the tracks that are on a BFT, I still can't know the order in which they appear on a particular BFT. For that, Andrew

I am looking for tracklistings of all BFT compilations in a single Excel file. I need Name of Track/Artist/Album only to provide my BFT copies with simple artwork. Please don't send me to corresponding BFT answers! BTW does anybody knows which BFT's are loaded into CDDB? Andrew
-
Can I have the answers please?
-
Another piece of excellent work. No clues though. Andrew
-
OK I confess - I couldn't recognize anybody in this compilation and I am glad because I will learn few new interesting performers when answers will be published. I liked all CD but few tracks I liked most: 3,4, 8, 11, 13, 16. Gotta to listen to those artist more. What I like most in your BFT - you didn't include any archive recordings with lot of hiss and missing treble and bass (sorry vinyl folks - I always skip needle-drops in BFT's). Your compilation should be considered as BFT standard. Andrew

Ocober 20th, Novosibirsk, Russia. Disc was picked up at postal office.
-
Got them today. Playing now. Andrew
-
got mine on August 8th.
-
I guess you were talking about me So who wants to send cheers to Russia? Andrew
-
Please PM if you have an original CD of Kate Bush Never for Ever album (the older the better). I have a proposal for you (no money involved though just collector's issue) Andrew

I think disc #2 is a set of covers of rock classic . I personally think to make covers from well-known rock hits is bad idea basically and I know of the only exception which just confirms the rule - Love Sweat by Golden Earring. Sorry Rooster_Ties I won't be playing this disc again. There's too many brass and it's boring to me. No hard feelings OK? These are tracks I could identify: 1 Red from Red album by King Crimson. This cover sounds very pale in comparison to heavy original. Red as track and as album in a whole is considered as one of best King Crimson albums in the peak of their creative power. 6 Roxanne from Outlandos d'Amour by Police 13 Paranoid Android from OK Computer by Radiohead Andrew

No discs in Novosibirsk -
Received my disc on January 31st. Didn't look at previous mails. Here's my modest contribution. 5 Sounds like soundtrack to Fellini's film 10 don't know two names came to my mind Angelo Badalamenti and Marc Ribot? 11 No doubt - Bill Frisell on guitar and Jack Bruce on drums, for me Frisell stands next to Mr.Robert Fripp 13 yet another version of Still I'm Sad no clue who's playing 17 Some Soviet song from '30-s, heard it hundred times but can't recollect the name Most of performers are new to me, but CD definitely has a mood and I like it. Excellent job! Andrew

PM sent. Hope it's not too late Andrew

Last BFT mail recived had #20 in it. No emails or discs after that. Maybe it's because of Christmas and New Year holidays? Andrew
-
Sorry for o/t. Signed on October 16th by email. Never got a reply. Can somebody provide me with a copy? Andrew

Bravo Marcus! Nice compilations without any single filler. As usual, liked a lot guessed a bit, but I am sure track 11 is from Satie: Gymnopedies Gnossiennes album by Jacues Loussier Trio: allmusic.com Loussier is well-known for his Bach arrangements. Unfortunately at present time he is at Telarc label and all his recording are all digital(DDD), that's why percussions sound like made of tin. I highly recommend two Japanese releases: The Newest Play Bach (KIJC 8022) Play Bach/Concert for Lovers(TOCJ-561) 14 Tune is Sting's Englishman in New-York, no idea who's playing. I wonder where is Airto Moreira? Andrew
