hey, John, thanks, I'm not sure how much time I'll spend here, but I'll pop by periodically to see if the discussion/s have moved towards areas I'm interested in. BTW, nice avatar! I'm down to less than 5 of those here before it goes OOP, at least for a while, although I'm sure there are more than a few floating around distributors/stores.

I haven't sold anything yet, I've gotten a few queries from you guys. I don't have the time to go through and list everything I'm interested in selling, or to research fair market prices for them, maybe I'll try to get to that this summer after my Cologne/Berlin festival is over. I have quite a few of the Hat Art CD series, and I usually sell the long OOP ones for $50 plus shipping, that seems fair to me, less than what I'd get on Ebay, and a reasonable price for a highly desired, long OOP disc. if that's too much, that's fine, I don't need to sell these, I was just trying to help after seeing a bunch of references here to much desired, hard-to-find CDs.

sorry for the mildly commercial interruption, but I'm happy to sell my copy of Rara Avis, and I don't feel like dealing with Ebay. so if you're looking for this, other Clusone Trio OOP CDs, other OOP Hat Art CDs, other OOP Euro free improv CDs, send me an e-mail (erstrecs@aol.com), and make me a FAIR offer, and I'll see what I can do. I've got a pretty good collection (CDs, not vinyl), much of which I'm happy to sell, as my musical interests have largely moved on.

thanks for the kind words about this release. yeah, I told Gerry last week I have about 30 of these left, and it's unlikely it'll be reprinted again for quite some time, if ever, so grab one soon if you're interested.
  6. occasional lurker, first-time poster, this comment made me register and chime in with my two cents: to each their own, I heard this for the first time yesterday, and barely made it all the way through. I can say that it's my least favorite AMM session without question. Very very ordinary and dull, you wouldn't know it was AMM if it didn't say so on the front cover (it barely is, it's the Gare/Prevost duo version, during the period when Rowe and Cardew had left the band). either way, hardly representative of AMM, for better or for worse. if you're looking for a different sounding free jazz/improv reissue from the early seventies, I enjoyed this one that came out last week for the first time much, much more than the Anomalous AMM (available through Forced Exposure): VA Title: Inspiration & Power 14 Free Jazz Festival 1 Label: ART UNION (JAPAN) Format: 2CD Catalog #: MTCJ 5501/2 New reissue of this classic free jazz/underground compilation, from the early 70s. Often cited as a big influence on Otomo Yoshihide, etc. 24-bit remaster, mini-LP gatefold packaging. CD 1: Toshiyuki Miyama & his New Herd Orchestra, Motoharu Yoshizawa, Itaru Oki Quintet, Now Music Ensemble. CD 2: Masahiko Togashi & Masahiko Satoh duo, New Direction for The Arts, Masahiko Satoh's Gorandoh, Yohsuke Yamashita Trio. Recorded at Shinjuku Art Theater, Tokyo, June30-July 12, 1973.
