Oscar Peterson, specifically on Oscar Peterson Trio - With Respect To Nat. I love his singing on that disc. Dizzy Gillespie has some pretty cool vocal tracks too.

I do not recognize any of the songs on here. You people have had to have listened to a shitload of jazz, i am quite the neophyte. I did enjoy the cds quite much, look forward to a time when i can listen randomly to jazz music and say definately who played it. i instantly fell in love with #4 by the way, Great track!

I read allaboutjazz for a while and ocasioanlly read here and was always interested in this blindfold test thingy but never registered, but in the height of the banning the mention of organissimo, i was like forget AAJ i and came here, but the first time i had ever heard of organissimo was on AAJ.

My history of aliases is a decorated one. I got tired of using 'normal' ones like Maxf57 and grandmastapheezy, so i decided to choose more fun ones like Kurt_Cobain, what i go by on many other forums, Others i have been known to use are Pumpkin King or Queen or Princess. Saxophone__Vagina is just the latest fun/silly name i have choosen. I do not take many things seriously and am a good nature person, so the silliness of SaxophoneVagina i think describes myself well.

When i search for this on google all i get is porn sites dealing with scat stuff, yuck. Anyone got and Scat singing songs they can recommend for me? I have heard a lot of Dizzy Gillespie's stuff.

I do not see how it could be considered "Shocking" and i am definately not trying to be howard stern here.

Yea me too, the sound of the violin just doesn't mix in well for me, always sounds out of place. I use to be anti-vibes too, but then they just grew on me some how, now most of the time i love their sound.
