  3. Is it an Organissimo issue, or something on my end? If I click OK, my post takes.

  5. Great idea. I didn't know that site before.

  7. Advertising on the free version, subscription income on the premium version. The free version can only be used on a PC. With premium you can listen on mobile devices and also download tracks for offline listening that are DRM-controlled to be available only while you're an active subscriber. Yeah, I'm lucky. I got in on the ground floor in the U.S. You had to request an invite, and a few days later you'd get an activation email. I guess that's no longer an option. Sounds like an antitrust issue to me, frankly.

  9. I saw him when he was a "young lion" and caught him a few years back. Might it have been with Hargrove? It wasn't Sherman Irby any more, but if it was Davis he's getting Irbyesque in weight.
  10. I saw the New York premiere of Mountain Language as the opener to a bill that had The Birthday Party with Jean Stapleton. She was perfect!
  11. I used Emusic for many years, but the online/offline options of Spotify and Rhapsody match my needs better now.
  12. Love it! Just added it and am listening to James P. Johnson's Jazz Band Ball. But the next order of business is to upload original liner notes instead of using AMG reviews. BfB, kudos for a job (in-progress) well done.

Yeah, even Ornette's violin playing has improved.

In other words, it's grated, but not grating.
  19. I wish I could have gotten a cd for each wisdom tooth.

  22. On paper it sounds like a good bet, as Tate's tone should mesh well with A.I.'s style.

The intro sounds like early western swing, then it changes up. Echoes of Keep on the Sunny Side of Life. At a slower tempo it might be reminiscent of a Jimmie Rodgers song.
  24. He produced a couple of Joao Bosco albums in the '80s or '90s; terribly syrupy production and arrangements of good songs.

I think an industrious person can find them, hint, hint.
