  1. I love this one!!
  2. Don't do it!! I strongly reccommend: don't do it!! When I did it I falled in a mortal spiral. Vinyl is an addiction, like drugs, and could be even more expensive!! When I look at my cds, Mosaic or not, I think about the way I could change them with vinyl!! I should have throw my old Thorens away, never rescued it from the box in my parents garage. I warned you! Now I have to leave you, I have an original RVG Impulse! on my turntable.....
  3. I am listening at King Crimson "LIZARD", UK Island first pressing. Well, you could talk about SACD, audiophile Lp pressing, ecc.. but these guys of analog age really knew what music means. Absolutely stunning!!!!
  4. JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE LIVE AT BERKELEY. Time flows but I can't get old enough to quit Jimi
  5. Until now I found several good seller in US. They are good, and sometimes cheap, for US pressing of Jazz and Rock LPs. I didn't find any online shop for UK rock records, like Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Clash, Free, Traffic, Cream, ecc. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
  6. I avoid sellers who only accept Bidpay payments; in my experience they're very expensive and take several days to clear. Yes, Bidpay is more expensive than Paypal, maybe I am only angry with Paypal who push me to get another CC. Anyway I can live without Paypal, I live in Italy, if you consider the cost of air shipping, and the average price on Ebay Jazz Records, Bidpay is the minor problem.
  7. Paypal asked me TWO DIFFERENT CREDIT CARDS, Visa and American or Mastercard, because due to Visa restriction I reached my spending limit, (2000 dollars). I had my Bank account linked, but this seems it doesn't affect my spending limit. Consider my Visa has a monthly limit well over 2000 and ebay limit is not monthly. I simply reached my total limit in two years! I asked ebay why should I have another CC that I really don't need, an unusuful cost apart ebay, they answered I have to due to Visa restrictions. The result is I quit Paypal and use Bidpay or CC direct to sellers.
  8. That's an awful lot of Trane, but great, great music. I've been totally digging my vinyl set of "Heavyweight Champion." I love Trane's Atlantic period. I also love the Village Vanguard set with Dolphy. Listening to the Trane Atlantic LPs in succession is akin to having a spirtual experience Totally agree. "Heavyweight Championship" should have called "Spiritual trip"!
  9. Today is Trane time, started with some Atlantics, it will end with Ascension. Ascension? Nahh, my wife will kill me before that!
  10. Since the US election I started to listen at Lps that remember me another country. Today it's WOODSTOCK OST turn B-)
  11. I resisted to cd issue until now, but I have to know! After a while I had to buy the JJohnson cd set, because rumors say Mosaic Lp set would not sell, so they buried it, Amen!
  12. Do you mean I have to drop them all together on the head of the President, or should I throw them one by one like freesbies?
  13. I usually find a couple of HORO lps at month, here in Roma. I've got Shepp and Konitz, not bad for 5 euros. I am not very impressed by artistic value, but agreable records.
  14. Yes, but the average price is around 5 $. Maybe there are some rare disc, but I didn't find any reference, like Goldmine, ecc.
  15. I will look around for them. It might be easier for me in Italy. If I will find them I will let you know.
  16. Just found a very big stone, I think it's an old gospel 78 rpm records of stone age. The musician is called Moses, it contains ten tracks called Law 1, Law 2, ecc, the ASCAP author is someone called Lord (maybe he has some relation with Deep Purple John Lord). It costs ten euros, but I don't know if it worths the cost of transport.
  17. I found a box full of V-Disc in a countryside house, they are in a good shape, visually I mean, I haven't got any 78 rpm player. Mostly of them are stuff of G.Miller or F.Sinatra. Do you know if there is any market for them?
  18. That's what I mean. Starting now a serious DB would be a full time job, a part the BRIAN discographies. I have too many lps, from africans to Lou Reed. Maybe when I will retired. B-)
  19. I like the first two or three Weather Report Lps, still heavy sound!
  20. Bob Dylan/ The Band "The Basament Tapes", white label promo. I just got a buch of vinyls from my pusher, mostly Watt at ridicolous price. I have to admit that I love Carla Bley Band records as much as I hate Steve Swallow records, is he still her husband? And I found also Pharoah's "Wisdom Through Music", strange stuff, it remembers me some Barbieri's music.
  21. It would be great, but probably too much work for a lazy guy like me. I am thinking at my rock'n roll lps too, in a session based DB it would be difficult to define a recording date for sessions who lasted months like "Sergeant Pepper's" or "Ummagumma", I should use the album realise instead. Anyway I will download BRIAN one of these days (It sounds like a Monthy Phyton's software)
  22. This morning my wife told me: Why don't you use a data base for you collection? I thought it's a good idea. Is anybody out there using a DB? I use MacOS, not Windows.
  23. I got it!! http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...ulse!+label
  24. I know there was a topic like this, but I couldn't find it. Any help?
  25. I saw at least three complete sets (vol. 1/2/3) in the last month. There is one complete set right now http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...4046234398&rd=1 Considering the average prices, 1000 bucks doesn't seems too much!! P.S. I prefer Partagas 8/9/9 or Romeo & Julieta Cazadores.
