  1. Yusef Lateef – Part Of The Search Both time-capsule and visionary, both elegant and extravagant, a curious object. NP: Al Haig – Parisian Thoroughfare
  2. Ellington Uptown Les Ballets Africains De Keita Fodeba Vol. 6 Mombasa – Tathagata (enjoyed African R&B quite a lot, this one much less at my first listen) It is Graillier. It is a common mistake, even for French folks, to forget the second i after a double l, as it would pronounce basically the same. I remember in Junior high our French teacher challenging us to make less than 3 mistakes to a 15-word dicatation (of the type "Un chasseur qui bayait aux corneilles tira un levraut derrière un groseillier : quelle imbécillité !") and everibody failed.
  3. Hank Jones – Urbanity Michel Graillier – Dream Drops Don Pullen – New Beginnings (Issuing his later BN records on vinyl would be appreciated)
  4. Sorry to read, Pim. Hope you feel better very soon!
  5. TIL Liberty reissued Blue Note records on a budget label around 1970. NP: Lou Donaldson Quintet – I Won't Cry Anymore (Sunset Records) aka Swing and Soul (BN) I also identified The Soul Of Stanley Turrentine (Look Out!), All The Way (Candy) and Just Friends (House Party) from the same label.
