All good. The Cadence label (and its related entities) has many rewarding releases. Snap 'em up without hesitation, I'd say. Agreed on Rusch's behavior; my dealings with him were minimal, and I always had respect for him as a writer and record producer while also holding space for the fact that he was an abuser. Humans contain multitudes and not all of what is contained is good.

Saw him with baritone saxophonist Charles Evans' group some years ago at Greenwich House Music School -- fascinating musical mind and the band was definitely digging in deep.

what about the duo with Maarten Altena on Claxon, "High, Low, and Order" ? It would also not surprise me if some duos with Yoshizawa Motoharu were recorded, though I haven't seen any released as such.

yes, the discursiveness of his language when it is really coming through is quite incredible. Again, my interest isn't quite held by his post-60s recordings that I have heard (that's a me problem, not a Sonny problem!) with a few exceptions, but it'll all be there when I dip back in.

yeah, not likely to happen. The Destination:Out Bandcamp does provide digital files of FMP releases to some degree, and that may be as close as we'll get to seeing some of these FMPs in a non-vinyl format.

Good news; the SAJs are swell. Also, non-needledrop reissues of Black Ark & Live at the Village Vanguard would be really nice to see (of course, likely on a different imprint). Classic sessions that should never be OOP for long in my opinion.

those Johansson trio albums are beautiful however pretty sure Ramblin' was intended as a GTA release, though it was recorded in the RCA Italiana studios

I have eighteen of those that Freeman lists. Weird that the only European artists he mentions are a couple of ECM stalwarts. I'd hoped for at least one Brötzmann or Alex von Schlippenbach album at the very least... 1974 was also an incredibly fruitful year for Japanese jazz releases.
