  12. Don't be fooled by the new cover. This Two CD set contains three outstanding Roulette LP albums by Tyree Glenn, featuring the drastically underrecorded Mary Osborne. This edition contains three complete albums: - Tyree Glenn's 'At the Embers' (Roulette R-25009) - Tyree Glenn's 'At the Roundtable' (Roulette SR-25050) - Tyree Glenn's 'At the London House' (Roulette SR-25138)

  16. David Grisman Quintet.
  17. A long time ago I heard a track being played on some jazz radio show that was a wonderful flute rendition of the Jewish melody for the prayer "Avinu Malkeinu" (our Father, Our King). I was sure that the DJ said it was Bobbi Humphrey. I've searched ever since for the track. Perhaps she may have recorded it under another name but the melody was clearly to Avinu Malkeinu. Does anyone remember or know about this?
  18. Not released in US. Here is the album for sale. http://store.yahoo.com/jazzman4133/scotvaccolmc.html
  19. Thank you for your input everyone. It's appreciated.
  20. A English friend of mine, now living in the US, is going to visit his relatives in West Sussex (Horsham) (he has no computer) asked me if I could find out if there are any Jazz LP/CD shops within a 40 mile radius of West Susex (including Brighton)? Anyone live within that area? Responses would be appreciated.
  21. Got the clip quickly and without any problem. Can't even guess who it is.
  22. This is a wonderful album full of some of Kenny's best work. There's not too much info on exactly who's playing in which group but I have been able get the following info off the net. (I got this as a download from e-music and thus the lack of info as there are no liner notes). KENNY BURRELL & THE JAZZ GIANTS 1 Lyresto 5:44 2 You Can't Get Away 6:26 3 Jump For Joy 1:51 4 Chelsea Bridge 4:40 5 Azure 1:53 6 Sweet Dulcinea Blue 6:06 7 It's Getting Dark 6:54 8 Pivot 5:14 9 He's a Real Gone Guy 6:05 10 Kenny's Theme 5:01 11 Funky 9:00 12 Autumn Leaves 6:53 13 Midnight Blue 4:56 14 Midnight Special 6:57 Total: 77:40 Essential Wonderful overview of the best of this guitar giant, joined by a variety of all-stars, from "Pivot" from 3/57 with Donald Byrd, Jackie McLean, Mal Waldron & 2nd guitarist Jimmy Raney, through to 1991's "Autumn Leaves" (mistakenly listed as '71) with Cedar Walton & Ray Mantilla. There's all types of settings, from "Lyresto", Burrell playing with the Davis-less Miles Quintet (John Coltrane, Tommy Flanagan, Paul Chambers & Jommy Cobb from '58), an organ quartet withBrother Jack McDuff, to a trio with Chambers & Wynton Kelly, to a couple gorgeous solo Ellington numbers (Jump For Joy/ Azure). Other Giants heard here include Coleman Hawkins, Art Farmer, Gene Ammons, Jimmy Smith, Stanley Turrentine. (GM)
