"Hello Dolly" off the album is on Spotify and sounds excellent. Louis is in good form, judging from this track. If you like this era of his music, should be a treat.

So it would be an upgrade, expansion of the 4-CD Complete RCA Victor set - 30s and early 40s stuff?

Emmett is a phenomenal player. I've seen him twice here in Missoula, Montana, of all places, at a series of house shows, where name players perform in what's essentially a big living room. His trio filled the place up with energy. This series with living masters is awesome. I'd love to see hard copies, though.

One of my fave Mosaic sets. Great sound and a very diverse range of music - instrumentals, vocals, small group jazz and even some blues.

Had a chance to see them a few months back - a rare show in my neck of the woods by a working jazz unit. They were fantastic. Highly recommend check them out.

How does this overlap with the Chico Hamilton set on Mosaic (which I love)?

I tuck mine in my Mosaic box sets - nice space-saving way to hang onto them.

I have a few dozen of those black boxes proudly lining my record shelves and have NEVER had a bad experience ordering from or dealing with Mosaic. The are an exemplary company. They will address your problem, I have no doubt.

How does the Mosaic Bechet set compared to the JSP Bechet set in terms of overlap?

I picked up Real Gone's Duke Ellington Eight Classic Albums set because it included a couple things I don't have and can't locate on official CDs. The sound is quite good. I may pick other RG releases if they include content that's otherwise unavailable (apart from expensive old vinyl). But I much prefer original releases when available.

Which of the other JSP boxes would be good, keeping in mind I'd like to minimize overlap? Thanks!
