Thanks for the heads up on the HMV site... Ordered a copy of this today. When I placed the order, there was a message stating that the order qualified for free shipping. Is this really true? Free shipping all the way from Japan?! Huh...

Yeah - that Pepper box is one I've been meaning to pick up for several years now. Actually, all three of these were...and several more, truth be told. I feel that it's now or never with some of these, the way so many things have been disappearing lately...

Yes, their prices are definitely all over the place. Just this past week, I picked up a copy of Woody Shaw's 'Song of Songs' (OJC) for $9.99 through their EBay store. The same day, they were selling this CD on Amazon closer to $40. I've seen these types of discrepancies numerous times with them. Also, for what it's worth, after purchasing close to 100 CDs from them through EBay within the past 6 months, I've never ordered something that was not in stock. Sooo... Chances are good that they've got a few of those Henderson box sets...

The bulk of my order (15 CDs) placed on 1/21 is still listed as "processing". I received an email from them a week or so ago stating that they were still trying to fulfill the order. Hmmm... I'm not in a big hurry or anything - I've got plenty of other new stuff to listen to; however, this experience will definitely make me hesitate to order from them in the future.

Just received Rearward vinyl editions of 'Our Kinda Strauss' and 'Off Limits' today -- from CD Universe, of all places. Was amazed that they were able to get them! Might be worth checking out if anyone is looking for them... Also, ordered a vinyl copy of Sahib Shihab's '...And All Those Cats' from Dusty Groove yesterday. Shipped yesterday. Unfortunately, they're listing it as 'Temporarily Out Of Stock' today. They have several other CBBB CDs listed as in stock, however -- 'Calypso Blues', 'More Smiles', 'Off Limits', 'November Girl'.... Better be quick!

Which one did you get? I got a brand new Lyra Helicon for half the U.S. price, that is one third of E.U. price, that kind of offer you can't refuse. At the moment I am playing it throgh a very cheap used NAD phono stage borrowed by my hi-fi pusher, I can't image how it could sound through a serious phono stage. I am on the market for a good used phono stage, preferibily with two MC inputs. Hard to find over here. edit: my mono records just resurrected like Jesus: old Beatles, BN, Riverside, you name it. I still can't believe it. Wow... I'm happy for you. That Lyra Helican must sound tremendous! Enjoy spinning those mono records...

'Sahib Shihab And All Those Cats' 2LP -- Back in stock at DustyGroove!

I've received quite a few CDs from Newbury recently. No major problems - very fast shipping, accurate orders... However, I have had atleast 3 discs where the barcode 'cut out' just missed the CD - and 1 that was damaged (a "u" shape cut into the edge of the disc) but still playable.

Daaaamn... I sure wish I had the money to swing your way for this set. The recent Concord sale left quite a dent, though...

Wanting to pull the trigger, but... Argh. So - what do you guys think? Any chance of another massive purging of the Concord warehouse?
