If it is a "master" or a "stamper" it is strange that it is a "possitive" (I can play it on my gramophone) and so I don't think it was used to press the vinyl "directly". I have a rather strange question. Who can give me the track list of the A side of the second LP of "the Don Ellis at Filmore" 2LP released on the European CBS 66261 I have a metal LP "master" (might be possible) with the "matrix number" in the surface that reads S-66261-3 and it has three titles on it. I can play it (oh boy, I don't know if this is excellent for my needle) and it sounds like Don Ellis. I'd suggest the three titles of this side could be: Hey Jude ( 10:38) / Antea: (5:59) / Old Man's Tear (4:53) ? The lenghth of the tracks agrees with this information. One of the major Argentinean guitar players of the XXth century is Oscar Aleman. born in Argentina in 1909 he made a living as variety artist, price boxer and guitar player. During the 1930s he played with Josephine Baker and performed in France. He is often compared with Django Reinhardt and, although nobody wants to compare the two guitar players experts say that Oscar's style of playing was more jazzy. Because of the war he moved to Argentina and became a famous star, first with his Quinteto de Swing and later as a star with an accompanied band. He never really left South America and that's why he is still world-known in South America and unknown in the rest of the world. Thanks to several off-list messages I think I have what I want: I guess that Roy is only on the second title of the album, Charise, the same title as on the other Nagel Heyer album "Uh Oh" by The Dave Glasser / Clark Terry / Barry Harris Project (Nagel Heyer 2003).
