  1. How big of a lizard? That's cool about the 3D. I was just curious. I work with a bunch of guys who live and breathe 3D. I haven't heard the first Mr. Bungle. I'll have to check it out. Are you a fan of Mike Patton's solo albums. I heard one on the Tzadik label. It was pretty wild. I'm doing my part to help the board. I was just over at allaboutjazz.com posting links to this place. :rsmile: Heck, they don't even have roboticons.
  2. Howdy Use3D, I just wanted to ask you if you do 3D programming. We do a bit at my job using 3D Studio Max. Just curious. I dig Mr. Bungle's California cd. Good stuff!
  3. If no one else has it, I can scan my cd this weekend. I'll have to do it later, because I'm still unpacking from my move and I'm not sure where it is. I still want to hear the trainwreck session!
  4. If the Organissimo board remains active we are better off. I haven't had this much fun since my initial discovery of the BNBB! I LOVE it here! B3-er has done a great job with this board. The old BNBB is fading away for me. Though, I do wish we had a lot of those great threads over here. I'm barely even going to AAJ anymore. This is a great place! :rsmile: :rsmile:
  5. :rsmile: :rsmile: Good one!
  6. Pardon me. I guess you can't delete the thread. I'm not going to argue with a moderator.
  7. Thanks PD! I think you can just delete any post that you've made. There should be a delete button to the left of the edit button on your post. Have fun with your avatars! I keep wasting time with mine. :rsmile:
  8. I love the avatars. This board is so much fun. I'm even starting to remember the name of the old place.
  9. Speaking of Ol' Hoss. I went to the Ponderosa Ranch a couple years ago. This is a tourist trap in Lake Tahoe. Well, they have a hamburger stand called Hoss Burgers. I did what any reasonable person would do. I asked if the burgers were made from real Hoss. The looked at me like I was high. :rsmile:
  10. I like your rating system, Peter! I've listened to the album a few more times. I agree about the Gil Evans influence. There's an awful lot of stuff happening on this cd. I think I'll permanently skip the liners notes. The cd has really grown on me. I don't want to ruin it. :rsmile:
  11. I'm married too and I've got a 19 month old hyperactive son. I don't get much downtime at home. I used to read everyday. I think I've read 5 books since my son was born. It's also tough because my wife comes unhinged when I'm on the computer too long. It the old "You love your computer more than me/What are you looking at thing" - It's pretty tough. I actually spent last weekend in the doghouse for spending too much time checking in on the boards. I tried to explain that there's been a lot going on, but she still gave me grief. It's pretty tough. Before I was married, I used to listen to music every night, or record music or read. It's hard because I don't have time to do the things that made me "me" - that's why you'll see me posting during the day and not much at night.
  12. Sniff. I feel so...unloved... Sorry Jazzmoose. I meant people with BIG heads and antlers. I wasn't talking about moose with big heads and antlers. I like them. :rsmile:
  13. Thanks Lon!
  14. Thanks Lon and Jan for your help! I think I'll pick up the Russell and Hines this time around. Are the digipacks like those of previous Impulse releases or are they like the Verve by request series digipacks. I guess it doesn't matter, I'll be at the store later picking them up. I usually store my digipack cds in those resealable plastic sleeves. I have finally run out of the large supply I once had. Any suggestions on the best place to get more?
  15. Thanks for the heads up about Tower! I have enough money to buy two of them. One will be the Pee Wee Russell. I love that album. Any suggestion for the other? I'm thinking about the Ayler or the Hines.
  16. I wonder if Boney James' first name starts with a "J" too?
  17. Thanks Brad!
  18. I've accepted it. Though, I think I've been agitated since it happened. They blew it.
  19. I would love to have this set, but it is just too expensive. If I could save up $180, I'd get the Capital Mosaic set which has more cds. Any tips for where to find good deals on this set?
  20. Good point, Bertrand. I always wondered why BN had such a problem with warehousing their product. If I was running a company, I think I could find a way to warehouse my stuff. So, the only reason that Fantasy keeps their titles in print is because they own their own warehouse, and the reason the BN titles go out of print quickly is because they don't. BN, I think it's time to get a warehouse. Then you can sell ALL the cds you press instead of blowing them out as cut-outs. I understand that they have to work within the EMI system, but come on! Bad business is bad business. If they did this maybe they could afford to have a website and a moderator (not that I would go back).
  21. People with big heads and antlers scare me.
  22. Boney Dog McGee is in the house!
  23. :rsmile: Let me just go on record as saying that I support Roboticon and Emoticon marriages. Thank you.
