I never understood why the iTunes store never allowed search by label - not that Amazon does, at least as a dedicated search field. (They used to but it vanished). Label search would be especially useful for jazz fans.

Pricing is a bit ambitious as well - $20 for the cd, $30 for the flac?

Now here's a group coxing a real groove out of that piece, at last - perhaps that's what he had in mind? European classical musicians always give rather stiff and unsensual renditions. Out on 'mastered for' iTunes now. LP release in January. No cd that I can see. Sounds pretty good played via a B&W T7.

I've recently remarried and am looking to make some space (plus I'm going digital) so I have about 2,000 cds to give away plus some boxsets (including Mosaic) to sell for a modest sum. Mainly post 1945 jazz. I live in Sutton Coldfield UK and to keep things simple it's collection only, no posting, no reserving. DM and I can supply an (out of date) excel listing.

I've got Steve 'Silk' Hurley's 'Jack your body' on a 12" 45 and I think it's about 15 minute per side (2 cuts per side, different mixes) but there are no timings on my copy (because it's a UK edition and UK record labels have always been wary of the Trades Descriptions Act and almost never put timings on records in case some bastard sues - because the costs of defending a trivial case wouldn't be trivial for a record company), and I'm just going by memories of 1985. MG The TDAct has been replaced by the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 which says much the same thing - in particular that a criminal offence may be committed by the misdescription. This means no-one can 'sue' and prosecution is by the local authority. These days, in the era of local government cutbacks, I suspect they have better things to do.
