Amazon UK has the digipak version listed. I've had many good dealings with them, though the shipping's a little high. I see that half.com has it listed also. And Tower online has it as a special order.

Which Mosaic Are You Enjoying Right Now?
Hank replied to Soulstation1's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
Lou Donaldson, discs 3 & 4, which includes the album, Midnight Sun. -
The digipak version of Virgo Vibes has two bonus outtakes not included on the Collectables version, both from the date that included Harold Land. I'd love to see Pacific Jazz release Ayers' West Coast Vibes!

Dusty Groove has this listed in its Upcoming Releases section: Bobby Hutcherson -- Bobby Hutcherson -- The Al Grey & Dave Burns Sessions . . . CD . . . Mid-July, 2004 Looks like it could be one of those European-type boots (Ocium, Definitive, Blue Moon etc.). Some other interesting things there along the same lines.

I'm afraid I don't have an extra copy either. Are you looking for the Rhino version for the extra tracks? I notice that neither the 32 Jazz version or the Collectables version list the two extra tracks ("Big Alice" and "The Call") that come with the Rhino version.

I don't know about Getz on bassoon, but a couple other players come to mind. On his album, "The Blues, That's Me," Illinois Jacquet plays bassoon on a nice version of "'Round Midnight." Currently, there's a guy named Michael Rabinowitz who is a terrific bassoon player. He's done several albums in recent years. "Bassoon in Orbit" is a quartet date with Joe Fonda on bass, Grisha Alexiev on drums, and Diana Herold on vibes. Another disc, "Gabrielle's Balloon," has got him with John Hicks, Ira Coleman, and Steve Johns. Great playing on both, though I prefer the lighter sound of the ensemble on the Orbit album.

I believe those are not numbered.

Hi Brad, There's some sealed copies in a local store here. I tried sending some info via PM but it's not working at the moment.

Great idea. I'd get one. -
Was there someone interested in the Farmer discs below from my list?: Art Farmer - The Summer Knows (Japanese East Wind, "mini-lp," UCCJ-9052) $13 Art Farmer - Yesterday's Thoughts (Japanese East Wind, "mini-lp," UCCJ-4017) $13 Either I can't find the message or I'm (quite possibly unrelated) losing my mind.

Great to see all these Basie Clef/Verve titles turning up. It makes me wonder if a Basie Clef/Verve box would be something that Mosaic might consider, especially since it is Basie's centenary and Mosaic seems to have gotten so much access into the Verve vaults.

I've got a copy of it for sale in my JRVG post.

Horace Silver's Song for My Father always makes a good introduction, I think. And given your profession, it might have a little added import.
-
Interesting to see that these are not RVG'd. I wonder if these will include extra tracks (ie, the Duke Jordan had two outtakes, I believe). Oh yeah, I missed it before, but in looking back over this thread, it looks like no extras. Rats.

Looks like I'm a little slow here. I just got a sealed copy of the Label M version from a fellow board member and unwrapped it to check for any hidden tracks (they got to be here somewhere)... and found there was no disc at all!! Now that's what I call "hidden tracks".... Has anyone else ever opened a brand new CD and found no disc?
