I'm a big fan of brother-in-laws bar-b-que in san francisco on divisadero. that place is unbelievable. chewy and i got food from there one day and chewy ran into the hills above the haight and slammed an entire sweet potato pie in under 10 seconds. also like phils-bar-b-que in san diego, but i wouldnt say its the greatest, or the reaallll deal like they have going on down south. been to red bones but really wasnt that impressed, though i do remember having fun at the bar watching baseball with some reasonable boston fans and eating ribs. BAR B Que for life. also have to recommend my friend joshs new concoction of making sour cream jalapeno poppers then wrapping them in bacon. coronary to the max!
while the rest of you talk about bonds and dice-k and all things roger clemens and whatever else the mainstream sports media feeds you, peavy again registered 7 innings of shut out baseball which of course receives no notice since it doesnt occur on the east coast or on either the yankees or redsox. cy young here we come...
Here are some of my favorites:
Linus Pauling, Robert Trivers, Harold Varmus, Marie Curie, Edison, Newton, Irving Weissman, Michael Faraday, Nikola Tesla......
wow, that really sucks for boston. bill simmons of espn spent so much of the past few months creaming his pants over oden in his column, i thought it was a lock. it would have been nice to see the celtics return to prominence though. they do have the coolest basketball court of all time (at least they used to, with that cool criss crossed wooden floor in the garden) this unfortunately means several more years of intensified red sox hysteria, since the celtics wont be around to provide any distractions
a spurs-jazz final would be an appropriate end to a season in an increasingly boring and irrelevant league. Aside from the what the warriors did, i think most of these games are unwatchable. I think David Stern needs to go and there needs to be a major change in the fundamental structure of the NBA.
