Well we're goin to Seattle this yr for a big clinic, it's called Western International Band Clinic, we attend it in Nov. They heard us at Midwest in Chicago, and they're like we want you to play at our confrence. So it's gonna be pretty amazing <3

There's this girl who likes our band director, so he's like about 24 yrs older than her? Anyways she doesn't know what to do...it's crazy. She strives to be the best she can be, it's like she doesn't want to dissapoint him. Now since most of you are older men, how would you respond to this??? Danielle

Can anyone name me some jazz artists or albums I should listen to. I just made one of my school's top jazz bands and wanna get into some more jazz, like listenin to solos and stuff like that. If you can reccomend something that would be fantastic. By the way I'm doing very well, both musically and with life. Hey! Ga Russell. Glad to hear you're doing well! Umm I think I'm going to a cousins house to meet up with family that lives here in,Az. I think we're having turkey and ham. Then I'll probably play with my lil cousins...and hide eggs for them to go find. So that should be funnn Yeah I'm enjoying my clarinet lessons a whole lot! I wish I would have decided to take lessons sooner, but in the past I wasn't that serious about music, but whoo I sure am now. lol. I can't wait to hear what you have to say about the record u got. I am. I know some of you may be glad and other oh brother! lol. SO how is everyone? Wow it sure has been a while since I've been on here. I hope everyone is doing well! I'm sorry I haven't been on lately! But I'm doing well. I'm finally getting lessons for clarinet and I wish I could have gotten them sooner! I'm also playing oboe and it fun.. it's sounds like a dying duck or party thing that you blow into when you do SURPRISE. It's funny. lol. Well everyone please tell me what's new! WOW! that's a lot of replies guys! But thanks! I'm glad to see everyone is doing for the most part well. Now Sean I know I'm only a teen but I promise things will get better! Things can not get worse when they're at there worst. Just be greatful for the little things, I know it may be hard but you gotta try. I'll pray for your well being and hope things start going up hill. I promise. Now for me? Things are going great for the most part. I realized I've loved music more than ever before and it's just gonna get even better! I have a lesson teacher starting in March whish is SPECTACULAR I'm like the HAPPIEST now. Yes I've been practicing a lot. School is ok, the only good part is band. I hate P.E. and Language is starting to become hardcore I'm actually typing an essay NOW for that class. Math seems to get harder but I'm still good at it. My band concert is a week from tomorrow. And I now have a job at a chineese restraunt starting tomorrow! That's to pay for my lessons and other things I may want. I just want you all to know, I love you guys haha..... I'm glad to be on here. Thanks for the advice GA Russel!!! My main instrument is clarinet, but for jazz I play sax (alto and tenor) unless there is a clarinet feature or something like that. Then I can play flute and piccolo real well. Outside of school I play the violin. BAND NERD, I know. I plan on learning the oboe sometime soon..... I may want to get a scholarship off of it b/c I heard that they accept you faster or the instrument is in demand I shall say. Do you play anything?

Thanks a lot guys, especially Jsngry! It took me like the rest of Sunday to get over it. But yeah I do realize now that I'm certainly not the best but nor the worst either. I was competing with all highschoolers that go to school within our region. The thing that brought me down the most was the sight reading piece, and of course dynamic changes. But I've moved on because after I saw that some of the best musicians at our school didn't make it, for the same reasons as I or they added some jazz into a classical piece...lol!!!! But I do plan on getting private lessons soon, so that hopefully will help! Umm.... Sorry guys for not being on so much, been busy with school and was preparing for regionals. But now things are kinda running slow, nothing really crackin around here. For now I'm just doing the concert season stuff, and some jazz band too. And also have been working on my drum major audition. I hope all is well with you guys!!! Danielle

I had a Regional audition yesterday, and I DIDN'T make it. Now I totally feel stupid and feel like just giving up.

I was thinking of playing for and orchestra or jazz group. It' doesn't matter to me. And I was actually thinking of composing music. Which is why I wanted to buy the program Finale just to have a feel for it. But I like your suggestions. We have quite a few big churches out here I was gonna play for my church on Sundays just for the hell of it...get some more practice with my instruments. Oh yeah I've heard of that kind of stuff and have noticed it to about sexism. Trust me it will not bother me though, I've gone through it before...haha.

Thanks JSngry! She's fine, it's just temporary so I kinda just have to get used not getting as much for a couple months or so. Not that I was spoiled. This year/last yr (b/c I started highschool), everything changed b/c I finally realized music is something I want to do. So every money I get is mostly spent on something dealing w/ band. But thanks again for the support!

Thanks Jsngry that really helped out a lot. To all of you thanks too! Right now I have a Jupiter Sax...it actually works pretty well it plays like my friend's Yamaha custom. But I'm saving up money to buy what I need and want to have in the near future. So I guess I can manage for now since my mom recently got into two car accidents so she has to take off work, which means no pay. One I was actually in and had to take 5 days off cause my arm was badly bruised. Anyways.... I just wanted to hear all of your opinions so I know.
