  1. That's one of my favorite Clifford recordings, but according to what I've heard about a correction in the recording date it turns out it is not from the night he died but actually a year or so earlier. The idea that this was his last recording makes a great story, though- especially when he says a prophetic "I've got to go now" after the last tune.
  2. Probably just close up the store for the day and go fishin'.
  3. Oops- sorry for the duplicate thread. If the mods want to go ahead and delete this, feel free.
  4. obit His "Sam Drucker" was on Green Acres, Petticoat Junction and Beverly Hillbillies. Dispensing hammers, flour and country banter to the citizens of the greater Hooterville area. The anti-Haney.
  5. Back home in north Florida it's flooding. Here in northern Colorado everything's on fire.
  6. The site was supposed to be closed for a couple hours this morning for maintenance but has been down all day. Must've found a problem.
  7. +1
  8. Nothin says lovin like a 9 year old thread! Happy Birthday, Jim!
  9. I've experienced that more than once in my lifetime. And ditto regarding Dues- it's a great record, and Tinsel is a masterful blues ballad..
  10. He will be laid to rest under the sofa cushion.
  11. watch out. your participles are dangling! Please explain. Not to further derail the thread, but..... ........shouldn't he have said dangling prepositions (of, for, with) instead of participles? Aren't participles words that end with "-ing"? It's been a long time since English class, but I thought those were two different things.
  12. Facing away I assume?
  13. I even got the sweater.
  14. Whoa! What a comeback by OKC! Heart(and back)breaker for the home team.
  15. Happy Birthday, Chuck!
  16. Von Freeman
  17. It's a great story for sure (and there's no doubt that Miles would say something like that), but I wonder how much of it is "urban legend"....I've heard it told many different ways over the years.
  18. I'm usually not very good with this game, it just happened that I recognized the last three.
  19. Who knows for sure, but I don't think it's a quote. I think he played the first idea and then sequenced it.
