Just got an email from Matt as follows. Told him I'd be updating others as well. Hopefully he gets everything sorted out health-wise.

Let me know if anyone manages to track down Matt, or any contact info for him beyond the Nimbus West email address he's ignoring. If he went broke and he intends to leave folks in the lurch the least he could do is own up to it and say so - happy to provide that opportunity.

Pretty rude. The annoying part (aside from the theft) is the inclination to give the benefit of the doubt, to make excuses, to make allowances against one's better judgement. Probably should have called the credit card company a few months ago - not sure they'll cover something I paid for in July 2023. But you wanna trust, don't you. Ah well, not the first time and almost assuredly not the last - hope everything is okay on the other end of it.

Some of the replies on this thread lead me to believe that there's still hope. I'll send another check-in and see if anything comes back. Feels reasonable to expect some response, even if it's just boilerplate. For what it's worth, the survey was asking whether to ship now, wait for now and be emailed again after the next batch, or wait until the end. I chose to wait for now, thinking I'd have them ship the next batch and then each following until the end. That was September 2023.

Haven't gotten anything at all and all email inquiries have been ignored since the September survey email. Paid 225 fancy US greenbacks on July 16, 2023. Feeling like that's money I won't see back. Been a while since I've been taken for a ride like that.
