Played yesterday the 'Khatchaturian' violinconcerto conducted by himself, Oistrakh on violin, on the Famous Melodiya label (reissue Eurodisc). Mannnn...... i liked it. I found the 3 lp-box for 3 euro in pretty good condition. Definitive, perfect.

Now playing. Not the best but pretty good.

Found this for 1 euro at a giftstore. I almost left it but i am glad i didn't. The Sibelius violinconcerto is one of the best i ever listened to. Also great versions: Oistrakh/ Ormandy/Philadephia Orchestra or Stern/Ormandy/Philadephia Orchestra
