  2. An extraordinary record based on french composers from the beginning of the XX century (Lili Boulanger, among others). Very coltranian feeling, but truly an original and haunting master piece. A must have. ( disclaimer : I'm not affiliated with any kind of record company, or any musicians playing here ! )

  14. (I don't know where) Some Blue Note professors say that starting somewhere in 1959, recordings were originally done stereo and then refolded for Mono. But some other Blue Note doctors (from elsewhere) says no. This is a huge and violent debate.
  15. Don Byas is great as the ocean. Don Byas is the universe. Don Byas is uncomparable. I've never spent a day without him. I srtongly suggest : ALL THE CHRONOLOGICAL CLASSICS : 882, 910, 959, 1009, 1073, 1239, 1315, 1372 And the "Jazz in Paris" series. Don Byas rules.
  16. Interesting informations... Thanks for sharing it.
  17. I must precise that I've bought many original pressing from them, too. Always incredible conditions and outstanding service.
  18. It must be a rewarding job.
  19. Everybody knows them on Ebay. How can they have SO MUCH incredible condition records ? While quality records are getting rarer each day, Euclid records seems to have an endless stock of immaculate, minty, pristine original records to auction ? Absolutely no suspicion in my question, just wonder. And want your advice.
  20. This thread is why i love Organissimo Jazz Forum : just a little question... and in two hours later, 2 pages of knowledgeable answers and discussion... (by the way, what was the initial question ? )
  21. And what is a "WLP" Riverside? This post has been edited by Elizabeth Schwartzkopf: Today, 10:47 AM White Label Promo !!
  22. Most WLP Riversides i've listened to sound as bad as their regular counterparts.
