  10. Tjobbe, thanks for your post. What I need is a device that provides true NTSC which I can capture with my PC capture card. I can't afford standards converters and high priced multistandards VCRs.
  11. If it's the information that should be preserved, not the junk of PVC in the first instance, this could be a solution sometime: http://www.lbl.gov/Science-Articles/Archiv...s-to-blues.html Claude has posted this link recently.
  12. I'm not too sciency either but aren't LPs made of PVC which is a thermoplastic -> can be reshaped with heat.
  13. Yes, there are multiformat VCRs out there with true NTSC, PAL, SECAM whatever output but they're very expensive. Thanks very much for your help, Daniel.
  14. But thanks a lot for your input. I should have been more specific.
  15. I need an NTSC signal therefore a VCR with NTSC playback won't help me since these machines put out a PAL60 signal. That's not really a problem.
  16. Wow, I haven't checked this thread since May... Hell! That's fantastic news, Rooster! Thanks for the contact info, jazzshrink.
  17. Before I'm going to order one from the U.S.: does anyone of you know where I can find such a device in Europe? I've posted requests on video related boards without luck. Thank you.
  18. From the Nero FAQ: http://www.nero.com/en/632173759380310.html#13
